The car is the most convenient and practical way to travel. The distance from Athens to Nafplio is 137 km, which can be travelled within two hours depending on traffic and vehicle speed. After Corinth, follow the highway of Corinth-Tripoli (exit to Argos) and head to New Tiryns and then to Nafplio. If you are in Patras (183 km) you have to take the highway Athens-Patras and when you reach Corinth turn to the highway of Corinth-Tripoli.

The bus terminal (tel.+30 27520 27323) is located at a close distance from the hotel Grand Sarai Nafplio, on Siggrou Avenue (Siggrou 8) and next to Nikitara Square. Nafplion is connected by frequent bus routes to Athens, and other cities of Argolis and the Peloponnese-like Corinth, Tolo, Drepano, Lygourio, Old and New Epidaurus, Tiryns, Mycenae, Tripoli, Kranidi, Porto Heli, Methana, Galatas, Agia Triada, Midea and New Tiryns.
From Athens, buses to Nafplio leave from Kifissos stations and distance can be traveled in about two to two and a half hours, depending on traffic.
